Roughly three weeks in Sarawak with a good chunk of that time spent inside different national parks. Orangutans, monkeys, weird bugs & some of the largest caves in the world. The highlight was still going into the rain forest in Gunung Mulu after sunset and watching hundreds of fireflies swirling around.
The Rainforest
Rain, leeches, carnivorous plants and coming across a rafflesia – the largest flower in the world and one that smells like rotten meat
The Caves
Including Niah Caves and the second-largest cave in the world – the Deer Cave in Gunung Mulu with its millions of bats
